Exam Review: Irish (H)
A well–balanced Irish Paper One with a tricky Listening Comprehension, yet very understandable essay titles.

A well–balanced Irish Paper One with a tricky Listening Comprehension, yet very understandable essay titles.

Balanced and well received. The sections were very topical, fair, and accessible to all students. The short questions had a wide variety of topics, and the section was very manageable.

A very generous paper that most students should be very pleased with. In “Hamlet”, candidates were asked to discuss “Hamlet’s complex relationship with Gertrude” and how it reflects the play’s “core issues”.

The higher-level home economics paper was a very manageable and topical paper that offered students a great variety of choices in the questions offered, especially with the amendments to the paper this year.

English Paper One was a very fair and enjoyable paper with a lovely variety of questions.

Overall, a timely and well-balanced paper, the theme of which was “Challenges”.

Congratulations to Coach Damian O’Brien, and well done to all the players for their outstanding performance in this match.

This is your big year and with that comes ambition and opportunity. At this point, many students are working well and are settled back into school.
