The Higher-Level History paper was fair and reasonable with lots of choice. Students had the benefit of more time to answer each question as the number of questions required were reduced this year. The consideration of additional time per question allowed the students an opportunity to relax and engage with the paper on a far deeper level. The Montgomery Bus Boycott Documents Based Question was a straightforward introduction to the examination. All questions on Section 2 Ireland and Section 3 Europe and the Wider World were very manageable.
Overall this was a very fair paper with varied choice and with the removal of the time pressure aspect of previous History papers, students left the exam halls feeling very positive.
