Our fifth year students enjoyed a wonderful trip to Dublin in December. This trip encompassed various different activities including ice skating, a trip to Croke Park, and a visit to Dundrum Shopping Centre.
The Croke Park Stadium Tours offered us an access-all-areas trip through the home of Irish sport. We walked in the footsteps of legends as we visited the team dressing rooms before going pitchside and taking a seat in the VIP area. We enjoyed panoramic views from the top tier of the stand which was just 30 meters above the famous pitch.
We explored the museum with its new exhibition galleries that vividly illustrated the story of Gaelic games from ancient times to the present day.
We also enjoyed our time ice-skating. It was exciting and scary at times, but we all looked out for each other!
We would like to thank the teachers who accommodated us on the day: Victoria, James and Maire.
